Wel­come to the new No More Fake Labels web­site! If you aren’t famil­iar with us yet, here’s a lit­tle bit of what we are about. Our goal is to help inde­pen­dent self-releasing artists by giv­ing them a label-like sup­port struc­ture to help dis­trib­ute their music and build their careers, while allow­ing the artists to keep ALL of the rights to their music. If you want to know more, check out the “about” sec­tion on the left.

But to chris­ten the new site, we decided to kick things off in true indie style with the release of “Sing For Your Meat: A Trib­ute to Guided By Voices” Fea­tur­ing Kel­ley Deal and Buf­falo Killers, Thurston Moore, La Sera, West­ern Civ, Crooked Fin­gers, Blitzen Trap­per, The Flam­ing Lips and more!! I hope you enjoy it half as much as we enjoyed mak­ing it!!

There’s a lot in the works for NMFL over the next year includ­ing the launch of our new series “B Side Heroes” where we will be pair­ing up-and-coming indie artists with some of their “heroes” on split 7″ records. (Excit­ing huh? I can’t wait to give you details!)

We also have mul­ti­ple artists in the NMFL fam­ily of mis­fits who will be releas­ing full length albums over the next year. Keep an eye on this site for info about releases from West­ern Civ, Mass Solo Revolt, Salt to Bit­ters and The Motel Beds!
